YouTube Is Giving You More Control Over Your Homepage And Up Next Videos

 Hello guys, in this article you will know about YouTube new updates this week. On wednesday, that is, on june 26, YouTube updated it's plan for suggested video. YouTube has now changed the algorithm of display suggested videos. Finally, YouTube is giving the users more control over their Homepage and Up Next videos.

  • The first update is that from now the users will be able to explore topics and related videos if they scroll up on the homepage and when browsing up next videos. The choices that you will see depend on your current personalized suggestions and are intended to enable you to discover what you're searching for quicker. They could be videos related to the one which you are watching, videos published by the channel you're viewing, or different points which might bear some significance with you. For example, if you watch technology related videos, you might find a topic suggestion for technology related videos. If you are a cricket lover, you might find a “cricket” topic.
  • The second update is that you will be able to remove recommendation for channels you have no interest in watching. You can do it by clicking on the three-dot menu and selecting ' Do not recommend channel '.
  • The third update is the most interesting. From now, there will be a small box underneath the  suggested videos explaining about why this video is being suggested to you.

YouTube offers YouTube Premium, YouTube Music discount plans

YouTube offers YouTube Premium, YouTube Music discount plans
YouTube has launched student discount plans in India for the membership based streaming services, YouTube Music and YouTube Premium.

The two streaming services, which include audio and video streaming segments separately, have been available in India in both iOS and Android devices.

Now, the students of India can have both the services at very low prices. This launch makes the premium services much affordable to student subscribers.



According to YouTube's student discount pricing, YouTube Music can be provided to students at Rs 59 per month, while the YouTube Premium video streaming service can be provided at Rs 79 per month.

YouTube Music subscriptions and YouTube Premium are priced at Rs 99 per month and RS 129 per month respectively on android devices. While on iOS devices, the same services are priced at Rs 129 and Rs 169 per month respectively.

However, it is not clear that if the student discount pricing would be the same for both Android and iOS devices or may be different.

The student discount plans are valid only for individual member subscriptions, and cannot be availed to family.

For the discounts, the students should be full-time students from accredited colleges or universities in India.

For the six-member family membership plans, YouTube Music costs Rs 149 per month and Rs 199 per month respectively on Android and iOS.

On the YouTube Premium is priced at Rs 189 and Rs 249 on Android and iOS respectively.



The move is focused by the YouTube in order to battle the high power rivalry being offered by Amazon Prime, Hotstar, Spotify and Apple Music.

The Indian streaming industry has been developing at an enduring pace and so YouTube wants to get profit.

Hello friends, today I will be talking about 5 mistakes that almost every new YouTubers do. Become aware of these mistakes and don't do these mistakes on your YouTube channel.

1. Inconsistency




The biggest mistake that a new YouTubers do is inconsistency. They don't upload videos consistently and thus their channel's engagement do not increase.

There are some YouTubers also which upload videos consistently at the beginning, but when their channels do not grow, they get demotivated and upload videos inconsistently.

 According to my experience, YouTube creators which upload videos consistently, once in a while their channels start growing.

 But if you are uploading videos consistently but still your channel is not growing, I have covered the cause of this below.

2. Mixed Content


It is also a big mistake. Many YouTubers upload mixed content which means uploading videos on different topics.

 Because of this viewers will not subscribe you as they will get confused about which topic they will subscribe to you. And if they subscribe, they will not watch your other topic's videos.

3. Sub for Sub


You may have seen that many new YouTubers comment on other videos for Sub for Sub.

 This is against the policy of YouTube and your channel can get terminated.

 You will get subscribers but you will not get views.

4. Spam Comment


This is the major mistake that a new YouTuber do.

 They comment the link of their videos or abusing comments.

 This is against the policy of YouTube and your channel can get terminated.

 So don't comment link of your channel or videos. You can make use of hashtags in your comment.

5. Use channel's/AdSense's email id in channel's about section


Many YouTubers use channel's/AdSense's email id in channel's about section for business enquiries.



 This cause in hacking of your channel or AdSense account.

 People will know your email id and they can misuse of it. So, use a separate email id in the about section.

YouTube have removed the YouTube Gaming app from Play Store | YouTube latest updates 2019

On April 30, YouTube has removed the YouTube Gaming app from Google Play Store and Apple Store, and merged this feature to main YouTube app allowing everyone to experience the gaming content they love without navigating to a separate site or different mobile app.

The main updates that YouTube have made due to this are listed below.

  • YouTube said that on 14 May 2019, subscriptions from the YouTube gaming app will automatically move over to YouTube. If any of your subscriptions have moved over, YouTube will send a message directly in your Subscriptions tab letting you know about the update with a link to learn more.

  • On 30 May 2019, the YouTube Gaming app will be fully shut down and you will no longer be able to use the app. You can use the gaming feature in main YouTube app or website.


  • If you are a premium member of any channel, don't you worry about your subscription. If the channel sets up Membership on YouTube, your membership will transfer over there. If the channel no longer has Memberships enabled, YouTube will automatically cancel your membership and refund your last month’s membership fee.
